TLS support for IMAP, POP, and SMTP

Description

Can TLS support be implemented for IMAP or SMTP? I don't see an option in the UI to set TLS as opposed to SSL.

I just found this thread discussion about TLS:

It mentions that TLS will be in 2.0. Will that be backported or will we have to wait for 2.0?
