Description
IMAP Idle has the potential to create a MAJOR drain on the battery (been there, done that on a Palm Treo). And polling at planned intervals wastes bandwidth if set to too short an interval and leaves the message unretrieved if set to too long an interval.
I can configure my mail server to send a specially formatted email message whenever it receives a message that meets my desired parameters. I'd like LM to be able to have the server send such a message to myBB@… and I'd make the subject "LogicMail Trigger Download".
This would make it so that LM doesn't need to do ANY of the heavy lifting of push email PLUS gets my messages instantaneously.
When LM sees such a message, it should check the server for messages and delete the trigger message.

Thinking about it more... If you can make your mail server send a trigger message to your BIS address, when receiving certain messages, you can also just make your mail server send a complete copy of those messages directly to your BIS address. In this use case, there's really no reason to involve LogicMail at all.
Therefore, I'm closing this request ticket, since its an awkward special case of limited usefulness, or so it appears.
